Section titled “Reading Rule”When a Latin symbol appears without explanation, inspect:
- whether it is hatted, bold, indexed, or daggered;
- whether it appears in an operator formula, coordinate representation, probability expression, or model Hamiltonian;
- whether the page has changed units, such as setting ;
- whether the same letter is being used as both an operator and an eigenvalue.
