Hbar Conventions

The default convention keeps ℏ\hbar explicit. Pages may set ℏ=1\hbar=1 only after declaring it.

  • Setting ℏ=1\hbar=1 in a phase but not in commutators.
  • Forgetting that jj and mm are dimensionless labels.
  • Comparing numerical frequencies with energies after setting ℏ=1\hbar=1.
  • Treating hh and ℏ\hbar as interchangeable; h=2πℏh=2\pi\hbar.
