Scattering Conventions and Connections

These entries help translate amplitudes and S-matrix conventions and identify which part of a calculation is quantum mechanics. They link to the full derivations rather than supplying a competing explanation. Relativistic quantum field theory adds a different state space and dynamical framework; the connection is useful only when those additional assumptions are explicit.

Helpful background. Return to the operator chapter when a convention change affects flux factors or transition amplitudes.

Use Scattering Theory to choose another chapter. General perturbative, variational, and semiclassical strategies are collected in Approximation and Semiclassical Methods.
